  8. sentiment, Virgin Records last week wrapped up Janet Jackson
  9. for $32 million. In signing the largest record deal ever,
  10. Jackson, 24, left A&M Records, which saw her through four
  11. albums. But the Rhythm Nation queen's contract was up, and,
  12. courted by other labels, she gave in to Virgin chairman Richard
  13. Branson. Says he: "A Rembrandt rarely becomes available. When
  14. it does, there are many people who are determined to get it. I
  15. was determined." Brother Michael won't miss out on the dollar
  16. spree. He's expected to re-sign with Sony Music for as much as
  17. $60 million.
